Personalized from day one
Onboarding & Home — A More Personalized Starting Point
Replaced an empty workspace with a clearer starting point — workspace selection, personalization, and guided setup — that leads directly into Home answering 'what should I do next?' The first-time and everyday experiences were designed as one continuous flow: guided setup hands off straight into a dashboard surfacing what needs attention, upcoming deadlines, relevant notes, and recent activity.

↑ Faster information discovery
Filters — Discover, Don't Remember
We redesigned Legend's filtering experience to make it easier for users to discover and narrow down information across their workspace.
The filtering system itself went through multiple iterations to improve the structure, organization, and visual clarity of the filter controls. We redesigned the shortcut icons and filter interactions to make different criteria easier to scan, understand, and combine.
Users can filter information using multiple criteria — including type, tags, dates, status, priority, and more — allowing them to progressively narrow down results without needing to remember exactly where something was created or how it was organized.
As an additional layer of speed and flexibility, we also explored typing-based filtering and keyboard shortcuts, allowing users to apply filters or search using words and quick commands instead of always clicking through the interface.
The goal was to create a filtering experience that is both visually intuitive for exploration and fast for experienced users, shifting the experience from remembering where information lives to simply finding what you're looking for.

Unified data ingestion, transformation, and synthetic generation. Handle structured and unstructured data with automatic schema detection and quality validation.
Mapped existing tool fragmentation across data prep, pipeline config, and orchestration workflows with product and engineering stakeholders.

Identified the AI 'trust gap' as the primary adoption blocker through early stakeholder feedback sessions.
Interaction Model Design
Designed the layered chat-first / direct-manipulation model to serve both novice and advanced users in one system.

Refined the design across 3+ review cycles with product and engineering teams, adjusting based on direct feedback each round.

Legend's redesign brought together Onboarding, Home, Filters, Split Pane, Calendar, and Agent Mode as connected parts of the same product experience.
Rather than treating each update as an isolated feature, the redesign focused on supporting the user's journey from getting started and finding direction → discovering information → working in context → planning → taking action.
Across these experiences, the goal was to reduce friction between knowing what to do and actually doing it — evolving Legend from a collection of workspace tools into a more connected environment built around how people naturally work.
Agent Mode is the next step in that direction — currently in Beta, exploring how the workspace can move beyond organizing information to actively helping users turn it into action.
